Joanne from AR Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

Is there an advantage (fireworks, special events...) to staying at a Disneyland Resort Hotel on Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday nights rather than Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday nights?

Hi there, Joanne! Thanks so much for thinking of planDisney as a vacation planning resource for your upcoming visit to Disneyland Resort!

What a great question! I'm always thinking about how to maximize my time and experiences at Disneyland Resort, so I fully appreciate how you're thinking about your own plans. As you might already know, there are some wonderful benefits and experiences designed specifically for Guests of the Disneyland Resort hotel properties. One of my favorites is access to Early Entry, which grants you 30 minutes of early admission to one select theme park on each day of your stay - before regular park opening! It's amazing how much magic you can squeeze into those first 30 minutes of the day! You can view the theme park that has been assigned for Early Entry for each day of your visit by viewing the Early Admission Option page, and you can see the scheduled hours on the Hours and Events Calendar, about 4-6 weeks in advance of your arrival date.

Now, Joanne, you mentioned fireworks spectaculars and in my experience, I've found fireworks are most likely to be shown on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday evening. Although nighttime spectacular showtimes are always subject to change,  it's a good bet that those nights would give you the best opportunity to view fireworks. And speaking of nighttime spectaculars, you might be especially excited to know that Fantasmic! is making a return to Disneyland Park on May 24th, just in time for your visit in June!

Joanna, Guests of the Disneyland Resort hotels can also look forward to special events and seasonal offerings, depending on the time of year. For example, right now, the hotels have some really exciting opportunities to celebrate Lunar New Year. I recently visited Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and the Cast Members have done an incredible job honoring the Year of the Dragon through the decor and interactive displays in the grand lobby! More events are planned exclusively for hotel Guests later this Spring as the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival kicks off. So, keep your eyes out for more special offerings just for hotel Guests!

I hope this is a helpful start, Joanne, and I wish you magical memories to last a lifetime as you get ready for your next visit to 'The Happiest Place on Earth!' Please come back to planDisney if we can help with any other questions.

    Wishing you Wondrous Journeys,
    Tishra
