    Want to take advantage of the extra magic hrs. but would like to know if we have to be in the particular park before it actually closes for people without that benefit. If we're in another park that day would we be able to come in? We do have park hopper

    Yes April you can spend the day in another park and head to the one with the Extra Magic Hours and not worry about getting there before the park's normal closing hours.  You will need to show your valid ticket as well as park resort identification since this privilege is only for Disney resort guests.  They will give you a wristband to wear during the evening that will allow you access to all open rides and attractions!  Have a great time!
