    What is the advantage to doing online check in rather than doing it in person the day you arrive?Thanks for all your help....36 more days!!!!

    Hi, Cathy!    The biggest advantage to doing on-line check in is you will save time once you arrive at your resort.   When you do on-line check in,  you will enter your credit card information, estimated arrival and departure times, names of guests in your room and all other necessary information that is usually done by a cast member.  

    Because this is all completed, your file can be printed and ready to go.   There is a designated line for those who checked in ahead of time.   I was at the All-Star Music a few weeks ago, and there were about a dozen people in the general line, and 1 or 2 in the on-line check in line.    The guests who did on-line check in showed a valid photo ID, were handed their folders, Keys to the World, and they were off to the magic!   I spoke to a cast member at the on-line check in area, and she said the whole process has been running very smoothly and has been well received by guests.

    Don't feel you have to do this.  It is just a service that is offered that many enjoy.  But if you prefer to go through all the details when you arrive, that is perfectly fine!   I hope you have a great WDW vacation!
