I am an Advanced Open Water scuba diver and plan on signing up for Dive Quest in February 2026 during my visit (a bucket list item for me). I have daith piercings in each my ears that I cannot remove myself. Does the no jewelry policy include these?

    Hiya Tara,

Welcome to planDisney! I am so excited to chat about DiveQuest with you! For any Guest who prefers to spend their time under the sea, you are right, DiveQuest is definitely bucket list worthy. My Prince Charming is scuba diving certified as well, and he ticked this experience off his bucket list over a year ago. He said you are going to love it!

Great question about the piercing, Tara. I know daith piercings are difficult to remove, so it would not be an easy thing to do without advanced notice. I spoke to a Cast Member, and they informed me that the no-jewelry policy is strictly enforced to ensure the safety of our aquatic pals in the tank. Unfortunately, this will also extend to your daith piercings. If you are unable to remove the piercings, I recommend speaking with a Cast Member in Tours and Recreation to discuss any available options (though there are no guarantees).

I hope this was helpful, Tara! Before I let you go, since this is your bucket list item, don’t forget to have someone available to help take pictures for you inside SeaBase. Your friends or family should plan to arrive around 40 minutes after the experience starts (the time may vary, but the Cast Members will let you know before you dive, so you can update your Guests before you put your phone in the lockers). Around that time, you will be in full view in the tank and ready for your close-up! Please come back and see us if you need anything else.

    Happy Planning,
