Daughter on Dad's Shoulders at night

If the advanced dining reservation calendar for a date opens (Sunday, April 19, 2026) and there is a slash mark through the date for a Fantasmic dining package, does that mean there is no Fantasmic that day?

Hi there, Chris! Welcome back to planDisney. I’m glad you’ll be traveling to the Happiest Place on Earth all the way from the East Coast! I can tell you’re just like my planDisney pal, Scott, who loves Fantasmic! We’re trying to coax him to Disneyland Resort, since he’s only experienced Fantasmic! at Walt Disney World. There is nothing like seeing Mickey Mouse battle the forces of evil across the Rivers of America!

Unfortunately, it’s hard to say definitively whether or not Fantasmic! will take place that day. The Hours & Events calendar only shows the confirmed schedule for the next six weeks. Typically, Disneyland runs Fantasmic! Friday through Sunday this time of year, but there are some exceptions, so I can’t say for certain. The best I can suggest is to keep checking back. To check back on the Hours & Events calendar, go to the Disneyland website, hover over “Tickets and Parks,” and then click “See All Hours & Entertainment Schedule.” You can change the date and confirm for sure six weeks before your visit.

One thing I can say for certain is that the Fantasmic! Dining Packages are very popular and get booked up quickly. I know they only just became available for your date, but they may all be gone, and that slash through the date may simply indicate that there are no more reservations for that offering.

Chris, I also have to point out that while you may have missed out on that dining package, there are still some great options for tasty bites at the parks, as well as awesome shows while you’re here. Did you know that the California Adventure Food & Wine Festival will be in full swing? You can purchase a Sip and Savor Pass to try a variety of delicious offerings from the various Festival Marketplaces. Also, World of Color Happiness runs most nights of the year, unless it is being refurbished. My family loves to sing along to the beautiful music and clips of your favorite Disney movies. The water, the lights, the sounds - amazing! You’ll love it!

I wish we could sneak over and borrow Madame Leota’s crystal ball to see if Fantasmic! is playing that evening. You don’t, however, need sympathetic vibrations to know you’ll have a magical visit, whether it’s playing or not. If you have any more planning questions, we’d love to help you. Come on back to planDisney anytime! I hope you have a magical day!
