When can we make advanced booking reservations for restaurants?

Hello and welcome to planDisney, Siobhan! I'm excited that you've stopped by to talk about one of my favorite things - Disney dining!

Siobhan, you are able to make advanced dining reservations at Walt Disney World 60 days prior to your vacation check-in day. You can make them for the length-of-stay up to ten days. You can make dining reservations online starting at 6:00 a.m. Mickey Mouse's time using your MyDisneyExperience account. Some of the very best restaurants do fill up quickly so I do recommend being on your phone or the computer right when it opens.

If you are looking for dining suggestions I have a few to share with you, Siobhan. My very favorite restaurant at Walt Disney World is The BOATHOUSE in Disney Springs. It's delicious. In fact, I was at Walt Disney World this past weekend and I ate there twice. The restaurant is gorgeous and set right on the lake which provides stunning views as the sunsets over Disney Springs. There's something on the menu to please even the pickiest of eaters and the service is great! My go-to order right now is lobster roll served warm with butter and I always upgrade to the truffle fries. If there is room left over at the end of the meal, I always suggest the key lime pie in a jar. It's light and tart and the perfect way to finish off a great meal!

If you are looking to enjoy a character meal while you are on vacation, I happen to love the breakfast at Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera at Disney's Riviera Resort. Here, you'll dine with Mickey and the gang and feast on delicious breakfast offerings. The meal starts off with an amazing assortment of bread and then you select an entree off of a menu. Even though you pick an entree, this meal is considered all-you-care-to-enjoy so you are actually able to enjoy more than one if you'd like. I love the breakfast quiche but I can never say no to a Mickey waffle and there - I don't have to! Right now, character dining looks a little bit different. Instead of coming around to each individual table, characters dance, wave and pose for pictures while safely distanced from Guests. It is still a lot of fun and I've gotten some really great selfies with my girl, Minnie Mouse this way!

I hope this helps, Siobhan. If you have any other questions about dining at Disney or anything else, I'd love for you to stop back by and ask me. I'm happy to help. Have a great day and happy planning!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
