How much in advance does WDW publish the times for their MK parades and cavalcades? We have a character dining booked for 4pm 19 March but we are worried if they change the time of the parade from its current time of 3pm, to a later time, we may miss it :(

Hi Janean! I am glad to see that you are finding planDisney to be so helpful! You are doing a great job of planning your itinerary for your March visit! I’m going to share some tips that will hopefully give you some “Hakuna Matata” feelings!

With each new day, the Walt Disney World Resort calendar will be updated to reflect times for the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade! When you click on the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade link that I provided, you will see a “calendar” icon with the date listed next to it. When you click on the calendar, you will be able to change the date to see the times that are posted for that particular day. Parade times for March will be added as we make our way through February. Check the calendar as times are subject to change.

You might notice that most of the times listed for the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade are 12:00 and/or 3:00. Magic Kingdom Park doesn’t deviate too much from that schedule. Assuming that your character dining meal is at Magic Kingdom Park, or a very nearby resort such as Disney’s Contemporary Resort, I recommend that you keep your 4:00 reservation. The parade is less than 15 minutes long which should allow you plenty of time to get to your reservation.

Janean, here is a PRO TIP for you! The Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade begins in Frontierland! Once you catch the parade there, you can begin to head over for your character dining reservation!

    Dreams do come true!
