Hey Lynne what an absolutely splashtastic time you and your family are going to have in April at
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park and
Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park
I love spending time with my family at the Disney water parks, it's like '
the vacation from our own vacation' providing an opportunity to be together as a family, but do your own thing - all at the same time.
My top tips for your water park days are -
Don't be late, arrive at park opening.
First things first, as you enter either park find a suitable shady spot to make your
'base camp' for the day.
Store away all valuable items in a rented locker.
Weekdays are generally less crowded than the weekend.
Bring your own towels rather then pay rental fees.
To prevent doing the 'hot shoe shuffle' all day wear beach or surf shoes as the many pathways and steps used for navigating the parks can be hot and quite harsh on your tootsies.
Make a big splash by renting a Beachcomber shack or Polar Patio. These premium cabana spaces are just fabulous with essentials like towel rental, refreshments and even your own attendant all included within the price.
I believe that your beach/pool day is meant for chillaxing and re-charging your batteries, so I recommend treating your time spent at the water parks as schedule free!
Come back and ask me any other questions that you may have about your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation.
Have a great Disney day.
