Hi Meri,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I recently stayed in a newly-renovated, preferred room at Disney's All-Star Movies Resort and absolutely loved it. The new layout definitely makes great use of the space. There is so much storage space in the bathrooms and I love being able to slide our suitcases under the bed. We also appreciate the Queen-Size Beds. I was worried about the Queen-Size Table Bed but it was super comfortable.
With two children in college myself, I can understand why you would like separate sleeping options for your adult children. Unfortunately, rollaway beds are not available at
Disney's All-Star Movies Resort. According to the Cast Members I spoke to there is just not enough room to safely add another sleeping space to the room. In the event of an emergency, there wouldn't be a clear path to exit the room.
If your adult children don't want to share a bed, you do have options. Of course, the first option is to reserve a second room. I would also encourage you to consider a Family Suite at
Disney's All-Star Music Resort or
Disney's Art of Animation Resort. The Family Suites have a bedroom with a Queen-Size Bed and a living space with Fold-Out or Table Beds. They also offer a second bathroom and a kitchenette.
Meri, thank you for visiting us with your question. I hope you will let us know if you have any other planning questions!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Amy H.
