How do other adults in our party sign in to the app on their phones to help in the planning process for our trip?

Hello Lee!  Thank you for dropping by planDisney, we are here to help!

It's a great idea for other members in your party to become familiar with everything the Disneyland Resort has to offer prior to your trip.  The first step will be to have everyone in your party download the Disneyland app on their personal device, and create a Disney account if they do not already have one.

Once everyone has the Disneyland app downloaded, I recommend exploring three areas within the Disneyland app.  The first is making a list of the attractions that you'll want to experience.  I like to browse through the attractions in both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park by tapping the location icon in the bottom navigation bar, and you can move around the maps in both parks to take a look at each attraction.  I also like to take note before my trips of which attractions seem to have the longest wait times, and we always try to head to those first thing in the morning when the lines are shorter!

Using the same maps for each theme park in the app, you can also select "Characters" from the drop down menu at the very top.  You'll see a Mickey icon where your favorite Disney pals are visiting with Guests, and the time of their appearance.  These can vary throughout the day, so it's a great resource to check throughout the day during your visit!  Some of my favorite character experiences include meeting Tinker Bell in Fantasyland in Disneyland Park, and encountering Super Heroes in Avengers Campus in Disney California Adventure Park.

My final piece of advice is to explore dining options prior to your trip.  If you're interested in a sit down meal, you can begin to make dining reservations up to 60 days in advance.  If you prefer a quicker meal to get back to exploring the parks, then I'd explore how to use mobile order at quick service locations.  It's such a convenient way to cut down waiting in line for your meals, and you can even order earlier in the day and select a later time window that works best for you.

I'm wishing you and your family the most magical visit, Lee!  I hope this information was helpful for you, and don't hesitate to come back and ask us any other questions!

    Have a magical day,
    Melissa
