There are 2 adults in our party and children who are aged between 10 and 15. We would need 3 hotel rooms next door to each other. Would a room with a 14 year old and 13 year old (their parent next door) be allowed?

Hi there, Julie! Boy, am I happy you're here today with this great question about booking a Disney Resorts Collection hotel for your family! I'm so excited to share my experience with you, and hope that we can find a solution that's perfect for your crew.

Julie, while three connecting or adjoining Disney Resorts Collection hotel rooms might be a challenge to find, there are some rooms that might be perfect for your family and allow you to stay together. First of all, if you're totally set on booking separate spaces, you'll need to call a helpful Cast Member who can walk you through what your options would be. Did you know that many Disney Resorts feature rooms with multiple bedrooms? These have been an absolute game-changer for my large extended family vacations.

I recently had the pleasure of touring a Family Suite at Disney's Art of Animation Resort. These suites feature a bedroom and bathroom that is separated from the main living space by a door to give everyone privacy. The main living space has a pull-down bed and a pull-out bed, so they sleep six people total! The two full bathrooms ensure everyone has space to get ready in the mornings before a fun day in the Disney Theme Parks.

My family recently shared a 2-Bedroom Villa at Disney's Wilderness Lodge with my sister-in-law and her family. There were four adults and lots of kiddos between the ages of three and 13. Between the two separate bedrooms, bathrooms, and living room, we had tons of space to spread out and we all felt like we had plenty of privacy. We loved having a full kitchen and laundry (probably my favorite feature) right in our room. The other half of our travel party stayed in another 2-Bedroom Villa a couple of doors down the hall, and we were able to pop back and forth and visit one another throughout our stay - so fun! Some resorts even have 2-Bedroom Villas that have a full bathroom attached to the main living area, so check out different floor plans to get a good idea of what you're booking.

I've saved the best for last! A 3-Bedroom Grand Villa is such a treat when traveling with a group of up to 12 Guests. We've stayed in this type of room at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village and it's so much fun because you can walk out onto your balcony and have your morning coffee with giraffes and zebras! The room we stayed in was two stories tall and absolutely gorgeous. The bottom floor featured a full kitchen, dining area, living space, lots of thoughtful storage, a full bathroom, and a master suite with its own full bathroom. The top floor featured a loft space with a pull-out bed and a bedroom on each side with two queens each and their own full bathroom. Again, there's plenty of space to spread out and make yourself at home here!

Julie, I hope this is helpful as you plan your holiday. Staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel is one of the best ways to enjoy the magic of a Disney vacation, and I'd be thrilled to answer any other questions you have as you consider your options.

    See you real soon!
