Hey, Dianne! Welcome to planDisney.
Space 220 is an amazing dining experience. I was blasted into outer space a couple of trips back and enjoyed a delicious meal at this uniquely themed restaurant. As someone who can put away their fair share of food, I was pleasantly stuffed by the end of the meal. I particularly enjoyed the Blue Moon Cauliflower appetizer and the 8oz Filet Mignon. However, some of my planDisney friends got the Slow Rotation Zero-G Short Rib and it looked and smelled divine.
Dianne, unfortunately, the children's menu is only available to children under the age of 10. Since
the menu here is pix fixe for both lunch and dinner, adults are required to select an appetizer (Lift Offs), entree (Star Course), and dessert (Super Nova Sweet). If that doesn't sound like your cup of tea (as we say in England), you can always cancel your reservation and attempt to join the wait list for the restaurant's lounge. The area is first-come, first-served and you can purchase snacks and cocktails. This is a good option if your main goal is to experience the restaurant, but you're not all that fussed about the food. I recommend going to the restaurant early in the day to put your name down on the list.
I hope that's helpful, Dianne. Thanks for choosing to be our Guest. Happy planning!
Mike
