We are 2 adults no kids, which would be best, mickeys not so scary Halloween party, or the dessert fireworks cruise if we can only choose one? NOT sure of the benefits of each without kids, thanks

    Hi Jan,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us another question, my fellow Canadian!

I’ve been lucky enough to experience several “adults-only” visits to Walt Disney World Resort, often in the Fall so that we can truly experience all that the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival has to offer! Because of this, I’ve done Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party a few times without my son, and I can say that I would absolutely pick that experience instead of Ferrytale Fireworks: A Sparkling Dessert Cruise

First, from a sheer “bang for your buck” perspective, the Halloween Party’s spooktacular fun stretches over several hours, while the Dessert Cruise doesn’t last much longer than 2 hours, based on my experience. While I loved the cute little desserts and very unique view of that night’s fireworks spectacular at Magic Kingdom Park when I did the Dessert Cruise, that’s all you get. I don’t believe that the experience is all that different with or without kiddos.

By comparison, at the Halloween Party, you get an up-close view of the all new Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular, as well as several enhanced attractions and other events with your Special Event Ticket. I’ll also admit that, when I’ve experienced the Halloween Party without my son, my candy haul has been just as big, if not bigger because I don’t need to limit how much I can carry if I’ve only got to take care of my bag! We had an absolute blast running around and meeting all kinds of rare and unique characters, which is another thing that is harder to do with kids (standing around and waiting isn’t exactly my son’s forte).

In short, I find that I get to see and experience a lot more when I’m visiting the Parks with another adult. If you consider all of the unique experiences that are available at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, the fact that you’ll be able to see and do lots of them if you’re a party of 2 is another reason why I think the Party would be a better choice for your upcoming vacation.

Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions. We’re always happy to help!

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
