Ahoy, Karen!
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I was so excited to "sea" another fantastic question from you! Before setting sail, definitely take a look at the
Packing List for Disney Cruises! It will give you great ideas of what items to bring along with you during your voyage! Even though we've been on previous cruises, I still refer to the packing list because it's so helpful!
Making sure you have the correct documentation and identification before setting sail is so important. Currently, adults setting sail from a U.S. Port and returning to that same U.S. Port need a valid government-issued I.D. (like a driver's license) along with the original or copy of their state-issued birth certificate. Before your upcoming Disney Cruise, I highly recommend checking the
Passports & Travel Documentation page on Disney Cruise Line's website for the most up-to-date information regarding travel documents.
Even though Disney Cruise Line does not require passports on every itinerary, I recommend getting one for every member of your family. On the off chance there is an emergency while you're visiting a port of call and you need to fly home, having a valid U.S. passport will allow you to get home quickly and easily. When my family cruises with Disney, we always sail with our passports. It just gives me peace of mind knowing we can get back home quicker than Dash from The Incredibles!
Karen, I was honored to help you once again plan for your unforgettable Disney Cruise! If you can think of anything else before embarkation day, please don't hesitate to visit us again!
