Character Greetings are designed for guests of all ages. You Disney pals want to say hello to children and adults alike. Adults are welcome to say hi, take photos, chat, and ask for a hug, too. I hope you'll feel comfortable and welcome greeting all your favorite Characters onboard.
I've spent plenty of time on Disney Cruises meeting characters, either with my children or by myself, while they were happily playing in the Disney Oceaneer Club onboard. I always get most excited to say hi to Goofy, as he always does something to make me laugh.
You can keep track of the times the Characters will be out to greet guests in the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. The times will be listed in the Daily Activity Schedule within the app once you are on board the ship.
One friendly tip for you: oftentimes, there will be a final celebration on the last night of your voyage where Characters will wave goodbye and celebrate the fantastic sailing you've experienced. I've noticed that right at the end, they usually mingle for some final goodbyes or photos. I love to attend this just for some last-minute Disney magic before I have to disembark the next morning.
