Hi Erin,
It's great that you're planning your Walt Disney World stay. I'm sure it feels like your "off to Disney" day can't get here quickly enough.
As a
Disney Vacation Club Member with a Home Resort at
Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, I've enjoyed the resort, the accommodations, and all the amenities for 12 years. And now with the fantastic Disney Springs dining, shopping and entertainment offerings a close walk away, I find a stay at Disney's Saratoga Springs even more fun.
I also have a Disney Vacation Club Home Resort at
Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort and stay there frequently and love it.
I didn't pick up from your question the floor plan you're considering at Saratoga Springs. I'm going to take a guess that you're thinking of a 1-Bedroom Villa at least because you mentioned "kitchen" and not "kitchenette." The upside is that you'll have more space to relax together, and if you plan to cook meals and eat in then that kitchen is a great feature.
In my opinion, though, the most important clue in your question is that you're planning to visit Magic Kingdom 2 days and that you want to plan for naps in the resort room after lunch.
I absolutely love that Magic Kingdom is an easy walk to Disney's Contemporary Resort and the Resort Monorail is an easy way to ride home high in the sky and in style. I even remember the days of giving piggy back rides from Main Street U.S.A. to our resort lobby.
For me personally, I'd opt for Disney's Contemporary Resort for location and convenience unless the kitchen is a must-have.
Enjoy your Disney!
Jerry
