We (2 adults 2 kids- 6 and 8)are looking to stay on site 2 nights and visit a park 3 days. We were looking at an All Star hotel. A package price was $2062. Buying hotel and tix separately came to $1760. Does this seem right? Why would a package be more?

Hey there, Micah! Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for dropping by with a great question!

Micah, in my experience, The Walt Disney World Vacation package pricing is fairly consistent with the pricing for booking the components separately. I priced out a stay for your travel dates at Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort with three-day base Theme Park tickets for your family and compared it to the individual component pricing, and they were consistent. But I understand that Disney pricing is very dynamic. I’m not entirely sure of the cause for your discrepancy, but it looks like that pesky Stitch is at it again! I suggest reaching out to a Resort Hotel Reservations Cast Member at (407) 939-1936. They should be able to give you the most current pricing and apply any special offers that may be available for your travel dates!

When booking a vacation package, you also get the opportunity to pay your balance over time. A $200 deposit will be due at the time of booking. However, the final balance is not due until 30 days before your arrival. This gives you time in between to space out the payments on your vacation. I love the flexibility of this option. When purchasing the components separately, you lose this amazing perk!

I hope this helps, Micah! The magic of Walt Disney World's 50th Anniversary Celebration awaits!
