Hi again Robert,
Great choice!
Port Orleans French Quarter is my favorite of the Moderate Resorts. I like the smaller size in comparison with the other resorts in this category. Kids really enjoy "Doubloon Lagoon", which is the pool complex with the sea serpent waterslide.
Here's the catch: All of the standard rooms in the moderate resorts sleep 4 people, with the exception of some rooms at Port Orleans Riverside which have a trundle bed for a child 8 and under. I'm not sure of the age of the children that you are traveling with. If 2 of the children are under age 8 and it's possible to put one in each room in the trundle bed, then you could book 2 rooms at Port Orleans Riverside. However, if this won't work, you'll need to book 3 rooms at Port Orleans French Quarter (or any of the other moderate resorts). The other exception is that if some of the children are 2 and under, they can sleep in a crib in the room and won't count towards the maximum occupancy of 4 per room. When dealing with booking multiple rooms, it is best to call Disney directly at: 407-939-7675. They can be sure to book your rooms all together on one reservation and put in the request for them to be adjoining or connecting. The computer often seems to have difficulty when booking more than one room per party.
I also wanted to follow up with your previous question about booking just the room for now until you decide on a package. If you plan on making Advanced Dining Reservations to dine with characters, you can do that up to 180 days in advance. The most popular meals often fill up that far out. By booking your room now, you'll have the confirmation number so you can start reserving your character dining.
Please let me know if you need further clarification on this,
Kaylene
