Claudia:
Me again! Thanks for coming back to the Mom's Panel.
With children the ages of yours, I recommend either
All-Star Movies to enjoy the iconic statues that herald the movies of Toy Story, Herbie the Love Bug and 101 Dalmatians--all favorites with kids--or
Caribbean Beach Resort to gain you some more space in your room, more quality dining in its food court along with better theming at its pool with a large pirate ship featuring water canons and bridges.
If you are planning on using bus transportation, I would recommend booking a preferred room at All-Star Movies that puts you near the pool and bus stop. You don't necessarily need to book a preferred room at CBR because it has multiple bus stops, even at the farthest buildings. However that resort is very large and a preferred room
will put you nearer the pool and its main building which houses its restaurants.
You will have to fold up your strollers to load and ride Disney bus transportation but you'd have to do that if you rented a car--or in your case a van to hold all of you. To avoid this, you'd need to look at the resorts that are on the monorail or ferry: the Contemporary, Polynesian, Grand Floridian or Wilderness Lodge near the Magic Kingdom or Boardwalk, Yacht and Beach Club, and Swan & Dolphin near Epcot. Renting a van or upgrading to one of the Deluxe resorts just to avoid folding a stroller may not be worth the pinch in your pocketbook. If you're on a budget, a preferred room at All-Star Movies will suffice, however, if you can upgrade to the Caribbean Beach Resort, it would be my pick for your group.
Wishing y'all a magical vacation!
Whitney
