4 adults, 3 kids ages 2, 5, 6. For rider swap can kids 5 and 6 ride with 2 adults then swap and ride with the other 2 adults? Or can only one kid ride twice since there is only one baby?

Hi there, Heather! Thanks so much for swinging by planDisney—it's great to have you here. I'm so excited to see that you'll be enjoying the most magical time of year at The Most Magical Place on Earth, aka Walt Disney World Resort. It's important to get your (Donald) ducks in a row before tackling the theme parks, and I'm happy to help with some tips for your entire group to experience all the attractions their hearts desire. Let's get right to it!

There is so much to do at Walt Disney World to suit every age and stage. We first brought our girls when they were just 6 months and 3 years old - and it was a blast! Even if you visit with little ones who aren't yet tall enough for certain attractions or other pals who aren't into roller coasters, you can still fill your days in the parks with lower-intensity attractions, shows, parades, Character greetings, and more!

The Rider Switch option is available for most attractions and allows Guests to take turns experiencing a particular ride. Our family used this many times over the years, as my youngest was very anti-roller coaster for quite some time and my oldest loved them all! I appreciated that both my husband and I got a turn to enjoy some of our favorite attractions rather than having to negotiate over ride privileges.

Heather, in your situation, you first need to have your entire group present when you enter your desired attraction. You'll then let a Cast Member know that you would like to do a Rider Switch, and they will split you into two groups. The two adults who wait with the 2-year-old (Party #2) will have a turn to experience the attraction after the first group (Party #1) goes. The 5- and 6-year-olds will not ride a second time since the two adult Guests can go together. If there is just one Guest in a Rider Switch situation, another Guest is permitted to accompany them, but that doesn't apply to your situation.

I hope this information is helpful for your planning purposes, and that you have the best time at Walt Disney World. If our planDisney squad can help with any other questions to make your travels extra-magical, please reach out again anytime!
