If we have 4 adults and 2 infants under 3, what is the smallest accommodation we could get at Boulder Ridge or OKW?

    Hey Howdy Hey, James!

Welcome Home and welcome to planDisney!  It sounds like you have a special Walt Disney World vacation just around the riverbend with young Mouseketeers and a few kids at heart. Those are the most memory-making magical vacations on earth.

James, I did a little searching for you to find out your options for the smallest rooms possible for Disney's Wilderness Lodge Boulder Ridge or Disney's Old Key West Resort.  Here's what I found.

In the Deluxe Studios at Old Key West, technically you can fit four adults plus an infant.  This typically means one Pack 'n' Play for the Room.  It is really just two queen beds, so it will be a tight squeeze with one Pack 'n' Play and definitely, two might not fit.  For Boulder Ridge, the Deluxe Studios technically fit five adults plus an infant.   This configuration is one queen bed, one double-size sleep sofa, and one single pull-down bed.

As a mom of twins who tried many times to squeeze two Pack 'n' Plays in the Deluxe Studios with two adults and an older child, it is really a tight squeeze. In fact, it would make it a hazard to walk through the room.   However, if one of the under-age three can sleep on the single pull-down bed at Boulder Ridge, you could get a Pack 'n' Play in the room.  Alternatively, if you didn't use the pull-down bed, you may be able to fit two Pack 'n' Plays in the room.

If you selected a one-bedroom Villa, at Old Key West it will have 1 king bed, 1 queen-size sleeper sofa, and 1 twin-size sleeper chair.  This room can sleep five adults plus an infant, so you would be able to have four adults and two children under the age of three in this room.  At Boulder Ridge, the one-bedroom Villa sleeps four adults and an infant.   It has one king bed and one queen sleeper sofa.  It is a smaller one-bedroom Villa than the one at Old Key West, even square footage-wise.

I recommend booking the one-bedroom Villa at Old Key West if it's within your budget.  Plus, the one-bedroom Villas come with a full-sized kitchen and a washer and dryer in the unit. This means you can save money on meals by cooking and having snacks in your room and can pack less and check less luggage.  It will also give you more space for your party.

I hope this helps you find the best accommodation for your group's beauty sleep in one of these home away from-home Resorts. If you have any further Disney Vacation Club questions, stop back and see me here. I'll be so happy to help you!

    Magically Yours,
