Do the adults in our group need to use a Fast Pass for Character visits (like Meeting Ariel @ the Grotto) or can we just book Fast Passes for our kids and still escort them in?

    Hey, Fiona!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I am so glad you stopped by with this question because FastPass+ reservations can be confusing at times. Children with FastPass+ reservations who need to be escorted by an adult must have an adult with a FastPass+ reservation for the same attraction at the same time.

According to the Walt Disney World Park Rules, children under the age of seven may enjoy attractions only of they are accompanied by a Guest age 14 years or older. Those over 7 years old, provided they meet the height requirement, may be unaccompanied.

So, if you want to visit Ariel in her Grotto with your kids you will need a FastPass+ reservation also. If not, and they are old enough to be unaccompanied, then send them on their own.

Disney Dad Tip: Characters love taking about their worlds so make sure to ask Ariel about Prince Eric, Scuttle and snarfblats.

Please let me know if you have any further questions to help make your Disney trip more special.

Fiona, enjoy making many Magical Memories!
