Can adults eat off the kids menus at the restaurants on a Disney cruise ship? We are wanting to book on for 2025 but afraid there won’t be anything me or my toddler will eat due to being picky!

Hello, Olivia. Welcome to planDisney! One thing I especially enjoy on a Disney Cruise is there are no real rules for dining: order what you like. There are so many options for food, you should be able to find something for you and your toddler.

One of the unique aspects of a Disney Cruise is rotational dining. Your dining team joins you each night, learning your preferences and making recommendations specific to your taste. You can view the dining options on your ship and get a sense of the type of cuisine in each main dining room. Once onboard, you can view the menus on the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App or posted outside the dining room. You can order anything on the menu - adult, kids, a whole meal of appetizers, a dinner of desserts, or any combination that suits you. My picky eater ordered pasta with sauce on the side and plain broccoli every night. Your dining team will work with you to find something you like.

In addition to the main dining rooms for dinner, Cabanas on most ships or Marceline Market on the Wish is open for breakfast and lunch. These offer a buffet with a range of options with some basic staples every day. The ships also have other restaurants with things like pizza, hamburgers, chicken sandwiches, wraps and fruit available. You can also order room service 24 hours a day on your cruise. Most everything from room service is included at no additional fee. Warm cookies for after naps always got my kids to settle down for some quiet time when they were toddlers. They napped, and room service rewarded.

My dining team got my picky tween to try steak on our last cruise, breaking him of his daily pasta habit. It was fun to see him explore new items, knowing if he did not like something, they would bring him a plate of pasta. Now when we go to restaurants on land, he asks "Filet Mignon?" I say, "What do you think this is? A Disney Cruise? How about pasta on the Kid's Menu."

As you explore Disney Cruises, I hope you choose based on destination and adventures, knowing your food options will work for you. If you have any other questions, please come back to planDisney. We are happy to help!

    Cheers,
    Jana
