Can we adults dress up for Halloween weekend at Disneyland California? No mask, no cape.

Hi Star! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney.

Guests attending Oogie Boogie Bash - A Disney Halloween Party are welcome to come in costume. However, if you're not attending this separately ticketed event and are visiting during Halloween Time or any other time of the year at Disneyland Resort, you will need to follow the guidelines for attire. For safety, masks and clothing that drags on the ground are prohibited, but additionally, Guests aged 14 or older can't come in costume.

That doesn't mean you can't have fun with how you come dressed to the parks. If you follow the Park Rules and Regulations for Guest Attire, you can still dress inspired by your favorite Characters. People call this approach to park attire DisneyBounding and you can do a little internet sleuthing for creative ways to interpret your favorite Character while in the park and not risk being turned away at security. A red tee and yellow leggings might be your take on Winnie the Pooh, for example, with maybe a little honey pot pin to top it off. Think outside the costume! You're bound to be more comfortable too since costumes often aren't designed to be worn all day. There's nothing worse than being itchy or being pinched and poked while you're trying to have a good time.

Since you'll be visiting during a popular time of year, get ready with your must-do list by following the Disney Parks Blog. There are bound to be treats, merchandise, and entertainment you'd be haunted by missing. A good plan is essential.

I hope this helps! Have a spooky good time.
