Ahoy there, Billy! Welcome to planDisney and Welcome Home! I'm so glad that you've stopped by with such a great vacation planning question. I love chatting about planning magical adventures with a fellow Disney Vacation Club Member!
Using my DVC Membership to book a Disney Cruise Line cruise is at the tippy top of my Disney bucket list, and I'm so excited to hear that you are planning yours! With so many
destinations and incredible itineraries, a Disney Cruise Line cruise is the practically perfect way to have an adventure in the great wide somewhere while experiencing world-class dining, activities and entertainment the way that only Disney can do. Now, let's get this pixie-dusted planning party started!
I think you will be happy to hear that as long as you pay for one Guest using Reservation Points, you can split your Points and cash payment per person for your cruise any way you would like. You just can't split payment methods for one Guest, meaning that you cannot pay for one Guest with both Points and cash. To clarify this further, I spoke with an oh-so-helpful Cast Member with DVC Member Services who specializes in booking Disney Cruise Line cruises, and he confirmed that you can choose to use your Points to pay for whomever you would like, even your third and fourth Guests. To reiterate that point, he informed me that you can even book a cruise using only Points for one child and cash for all of the other Guests, which saves some serious Points. It's Membership magic!
Speaking of Membership magic, before your cruise, be sure to check out the DVC
perks and discounts for Disney Cruise Line on the
Member Benefits page on the DVC website for ways to save while you sail!
I hope this was helpful, Billy, and I hope you have the most magical and memorable time on your cruise! Please stop by any time with any planning or DVC questions you may have along the way. You've got a friend in me!
Bon Voyage,
Mandy
