Ahoy, Natalie!
Welcome aboard the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I get so excited when our advance booking window opens and we're able to book Port Adventures! That just means our Disney Cruise is right around the corner! We sailed to Alaska aboard the
Disney Wonder for the second time last summer and had an even more phenomenal voyage than the first time!
In my opinion, one of the best Port Adventures is the
Best of Juneau. This excursion is actually three adventures in one! You start the excursion by boarding a catamaran and setting off on a whale watching expedition! The tour guides are so confident you'll see a whale that they guarantee it or you'll receive a cash refund! During this excursion my family saw so many whales jumping out of the water, it was unforgettable! The second leg of the journey is a delicious lunch (including Alaskan salmon) at Orca Point Lodge. After lunch, you can hike around the Lodge and take pictures of the beautiful scenery. Finally, the excursion concludes with a visit to the famous Mendenhall Glacier. This Port Adventure currently costs $215 per person (ages 10 and up). My family loved every moment of this excursion!
Another thing I wanted to mention is when the ship docks at each Port of Call you will be steps away from the heart of each city! You can easily walk off the ship and either walk or take the shuttles straight into town. You will have the opportunity to shop, grab a bite to eat or talk with the lovely people from each town.
Natalie, if you have any other questions while preparing for your voyage to The Last Frontier, please don't hesitate to stop back and visit us again!
