Doesn’t the
Disney After Hours Boo Bash look like a ton of festive fun, Nina? I’m so excited about this experience coming to Walt Disney World in the fall!
While Guests are encouraged to make the occasion all the more fun by dressing in costume, there are some
guidelines in place with regard to those costumes. The one that seems to best address your question states that,
“Layered costumes or costume props that surround the entire body are strongly discouraged and may be subject to additional security screening.” Though I don’t know the specifics about the costumes your husband and son want to wear, the inflatable costumes I’ve seen do indeed surround the entire body. Though the official rules do not outright prohibit these costumes, they are strongly discouraged. If my family members were considering inflatable costumes, I’d probably ask them to make a different choice just to avoid any unnecessary delays at the park entrance caused by additional screening.
In all honesty, inflatable costumes also seem quite burdensome and would make it very difficult to board some of the ride vehicles for the attractions. Choosing a costume that allows for free movement will help ensure that your family has a spooktacular time.
I hope that helps, Nina!
