Hi, Nichelle!
First of all, congratulations on your upcoming 10th wedding anniversary! What a fantastic way to celebrate a decade together, too!
Regarding your 2015 trip, consider staying in a resort which offers either a mini-kitchen in a family suite, such as
Disney's Art of Animation Resort or
Disney's All-Star Music Resort. The mini-kitchen includes a coffee maker, mini-refrigerator and microwave, enabling you to enjoy a quick (or leisurely) breakfast in your room as well as lunch or late-night snacks, too. (My 11-year-old is a big fan of leftovers, so the microwave ensures that nothing goes to waste while we're in Walt Disney World!)
For even more information about your choices, read through
Rooms for 5 Guests or More at WDW and click on the links of the various resorts; each one has its own unique charm and benefits of proximity to particular parks or shopping and entertainment areas.
Other $-saving tips include bringing snacks and beverages to stock your mini-kitchen, having each family member carry his or her own refillable, wide-mouthed water bottle (fill with ice, then water each morning) and a snack or two to nibble on throughout the day. Bring quart-sized zip-shut bags for food storage when you simply can't eat an entire soft pretzel or the cookie that came with your meal; enjoy that later. Purchase a refillable popcorn container on day 1, then pop your own popcorn each morning and bring it with you to the parks.
Send more questions as you think of them, Nichelle! There are so many more $-saving tips to share!
