    We got 4 adults and 2 children ($50 ticket special) with hotel. Now we are all very sick. The res is for Jan 29 -30. Tickets were all upgraded with genie and park hop. No other dates are open through March for kid tix to work. Can cancel and get refund?

    I am so very sorry to hear that you're sick and this has interrupted your magical plans to visit Disneyland Resort. We've had illness disrupt our Disney vacation, and I know just how disappointing that can be. Let me see if I can't help.

    It sounds like you've purchased a Vacation Package, which combined your admission tickets with your hotel stay. If that's the case, my suggestion is to give the Vacation Packages phone line a call. A helpful Cast Member can run through your options with you, including canceling or modifying the dates of your stay. According to current Vacation Package terms, between 29 and 5 days before your arrival, your trip can be refunded minus a cancellation fee of $200 per package and any additional cancelation fees from third-party hotels or other suppliers. If your stay is 4 days or less away, however, the full price of the package is non-refundable. It sounds like you're down to the wire, so I hope you're able to call right away. If it's too late to recoup the cost of your package through cancelation, you can change the dates of your stay, depending on availability. Don't wait to call and make those changes.

    If you can't visit before the Kids' Special Ticket Offer expires, most ticket upgrades can be done by a Cast Member over the phone. You'd have to pay the difference, but the value of a wholly unused Kids' Offer could be applied to the price of a new ticket. Prices and availability are subject to change. Speak to the Cast Member on the Vacation Package phone line about this possibility if the dates of the Kids' Offer going forward don't work for your schedule.
