We have 2 adults and 5 children. Can we stay in a resort that sleeps 6 adults. Since there is only 2 adults and the rest are children. 2 children are very small.

    Hiya Pal!

Welcome to planDisney!  Choosing a Disney Resorts Collection hotel that is practically perfect in every way is always the first step in my planning process.  With options for various party sizes, budgets, and preferences, there is truly something for everyone!  I'm happy to share a few of my recommendations as you continue planning your jolly holiday!

It's important to note that occupancy for Walt Disney World Resort hotels typically includes the posted occupancy plus one child under 3 who would sleep in a crib or pack 'n' play.  That means that, if your littlest mouseketeer is under the age of 3, your party of 7 should be able to all stay in one room with an occupancy of six.  You'll also notice that when searching for room availability online, the Walt Disney World Resort website asks for the number of adults and children as well as the ages of the children.  You should list your entire party here (even those under 3) if you're all hoping to stay in one room and the website will only allow you to book rooms that do not exceed maximum occupancy.

The first rooms that come to mind for your family are the Family Suites at Disney's Art of Animation Resort. These suites have a maximum occupancy of six and feature a bedroom with one bed, a sofa that pulls out to a bed, and a Murphy bed that can be used as a table during the day.  You'll also find two full bathrooms which will certainly come in handy!  The Family Suites are themed after Finding Nemo, The Lion King, and Cars.  Throughout the resort, you'll find the large, colorful icons from these and other popular Disney movies such as The Little Mermaid.  Another great feature of this resort is the access you'll have to the Disney Skyliner which provides aerial transportation to both EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios.

If you're looking for more room to spread out, you may also want to consider the Deluxe Villas.  These resorts offer multi-bedroom rooms (with some sleeping up to 12 adults) and often include full kitchens.  Guests of these properties also have access to Extended Evening Theme Park Hours in addition to the other resort benefits available.  In this category, I would recommend Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort.  I love that you can walk to Magic Kingdom Park from this property and that there are several great restaurants to choose from including the very popular character dining experience, Chef Mickey's!

I hope this helps you choose where you'd like to call "home" during your Walt Disney World Resort vacation.  Don't forget to check out the current special offers when booking to get the best deal possible!  If you have any other questions, please feel free to see me or any of my panelist pals here at planDisney again!

    See ya real soon,
    Kristi
