Hello again, April! Welcome back to planDisney!
This is a great question about the
Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan. I am so glad that you asked!
First, in the link above, take a look at the great description of how flexible this plan is while touring
Walt Disney World. Your QS meals can be used at any time throughout your stay. That means that if three of you would like to eat, but one in your party just isn't quite ready, you can just order the meals you'd like at that time. Kids hungry but adults are not? Just order two meals for them. Easy peasy!
Just last week, my husband and I stopped back to our Island Tower room at
Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows and realized we needed just a little something to hold us over until dinner. We used
Mobile Order to pick up just one serving of Gochujang-glazed Chicken Strips and fries to split from
Capt. Cook's and shared those while relaxing in our room for a bit. That left another Quick-Service meal to enjoy an afternoon flatbread on a different day before heading to a later dinner.
While guests ages 3-9 must order from items listed in the Kids' Meals sections of most menus, mine always enjoyed sampling tastes from our adult menu choices, too. When our kids were little and on a Disney Dining Plan, one of the grownups would grab a table while the other would head to the counter to order our meals. One of us would order our own QS entree that both a child and the adult might enjoy. This helped our kids experiment with new foods in a way that wasn't wasteful if they didn't like it. Now? They are true foodies!
Just remember that all of your unused Quick-Service meals and snacks roll over each day until midnight on the day of your checkout. While meals are not transferrable between party members, you are free to use those adult and children's QS meals as you wish throughout your stay.
As you continue to plan that most magical visit, April, keep sending questions our way. We love to help!
