Hi there, and welcome to planDisney! I'm thrilled that you've chosen to visit us and ask this great question about planning your very first Walt Disney World Resort vacation! I know it can feel a little daunting, but Hakuna Matata - we're here to help! Let's jump right in!

Disney Resorts Collection Hotels are divided into a few categories: Value, Moderate, Deluxe, and Deluxe Villa Resorts. Head over to the Disney Resorts Collection website to input your party size and dates to view availability. You'll find rooms from studios to 3-Bedroom Grand Villas and everything in-between. You'll love staying in the magic at a Disney resort and enjoying amenities like fabulous pools, amazing onsite dining, complimentary transportation, and more! Here are a few of my favorites:

    • Value: Disney's Art of Animation Resort - your family will love the fun theming that immerses you in the magic of Disney animation. With the largest pool at Walt Disney World Resort and super convenient access to the Disney Skyliner, you'll enjoy every moment here. Unique to Value Resorts, Family Suites offer two separate bathrooms and a separate bedroom for a little added privacy.
    • Moderate: Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort - a beautiful, beachy, centrally-located resort with lots of character and great dining options. It also features a Disney Skyliner station!
    • Deluxe: Disney's Polynesian Village Resort - you'll be transported to the South Pacific at this amazing resort, located along the Disney Monorail and just steps from Magic Kingdom Park. The amazing pool and awesome onsite dining locations make this a popular resort.
    • Deluxe Villa: Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village - enjoy sweeping views of the Savanna from your balcony, where you'll see giraffes and zebras grazing just below. This breathtaking, serene resort boasts my kiddos' favorite pool and waterslide, and I love that there is no shortage of things to do and see here. Villas offer a full kitchen, washer and dryer, and lots of space - a game-changer for my family! It truly feels like home away from home.
Here are a few other things you'll want to familiarize yourself with before your arrival:

    • Special Offers for Canada Residents - take advantage of special savings!
    • My Disney Experience Mobile App: your go-to resource for planning and navigating throughout your visit. It features a helpful map that shows everything from wait times to nearby restrooms, ability to view charges to your account, and allows planning all your activities from dining to attractions.
    • Disney Genie+ Service, Individual Lightning Lanes, and Virtual Queues: spend less time in line with these helpful services
    • All things Disney dining: consider a dining plan, know how to place a Mobile Food & Beverage Order in advance to limit your wait time for food, make Advance Dining Reservations 60 days before your visit, and check out menus in advance to plan for any dietary restrictions
Please take advantage of all of the resources at planDisney.com - we've created them to help guests just like you! Stop back by with any other questions!

    See you real soon!
