    1) Can 2 adults and 1 child (5yo) ride on big thunder mountain in the same row? 2) Will there be evening Fireworks at Disney land between August 31 and September 3?

    Hi there, Melanie!

Thank you for sending your question to planDisney. I bet your family is getting excited about your upcoming trip. It is only a few days away!

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is the best entry-level thrill ride in my opinion! My kids love it (as do I)! Seating arrangements on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad are determined by the attraction Cast Member prior to boarding. My spouse and I were able to sit together with our oldest child when she was little, and I have sat with both of my kids in one row many times. As kids get older, it may be more difficult to fit two adults and a child in the same seat. When this happens, one of the parents can sit by themself while the other parent and child sit together. Just talk to the Cast Member at the top of the stairs to see if they think you can make it work!

Fireworks typically occur on Friday through Sunday evenings. Halloween Screams with fireworks is currently scheduled to take place in Disneyland Park from August 31 through September 2, 2024 (with Monday being a "bonus" day because of Labor Day). Due to weather or other circumstances, fireworks can be canceled at any time. When this happens, Halloween Screams with projections (or whichever nighttime spectacular is taking place at the time) are usually performed instead. With or without fireworks, Disneyland's nighttime spectaculars are always incredible!

Your kiddo may be interested in Pluto's Pumpkin Pursuit while you are on vacation! Your family can search for adorable Disney-themed pumpkins throughout Disneyland Resort. Your child can track which pumpkins they find using a cute map purchased from one of the stores in Disneyland. When the map is completed (or not!), you can return the map to a redemption location to pick up a memento. Finishing the map is not required to collect your keepsake, which is helpful if your child gets distracted by other Disneyland activities and does not complete the challenge. The list of locations for purchasing the maps can be found on Pluto's Pumpkin Pursuit page

Melanie, have a spooktacular visit to Disneyland Resort during Halloween Time! We hope to see you real soon!
