Hi Joanne! Welcome to planDisney. It sounds like you are planning a family vacation to the Happiest Place on Earth! There's nothing better than vacations that bring families together to experience the magic and make memories that will last a lifetime!
While my pixie dust doesn't reach quite far enough to book this vacation for you, I am happy to point you in the right direction. Think of me as your very own Jiminy Cricket where we will let our conscious and a little magic be our guide. I think you'll want to book a
Disneyland Resort Vacation Package, which includes hotel accommodations and theme park tickets. Your first stop will be to head to the Disneyland Resort website. Right there at the top is a "Build Your Vacation" banner, where our journey will begin. You will enter the number of Guests (adults and Mouseketeers), and select "Find Rates". This will pull up availability at the Disneyland Resort Hotels. You'll also see the option to browse through Good Neighbor hotels, which are hotels in the area with the Disney stamp of approval! This allows for lots of different options to fit your vacation style and budget.
Once the room is selected, you'll be asked to choose your theme park tickets. You will select the number of days and if you'd like them to be Park Hopper tickets. You'll also have the option to add
Genie+ which will grant you access to Lightning Lanes throughout both parks so you can skip the standby queue. Genie+ includes access to Disney PhotoPass Lenses and unlimited downloads of all those Disney PhotoPass photos as well, so you can capture all those memories! Once your tickets are chosen, you'll head to the checkout. Be sure to make note of payment deadlines and cancellation policies just in case plans need to change.
One thing to note is that if you are looking to book individual rooms instead of multi-room suites, you will need to make separate reservations for each. This just means you will start at the beginning of the booking process at "Build Your Vacation" for each room and each party will have their own reservation. You can always request connecting rooms or rooms in close proximity. While these requests aren't guaranteed, the Cast Members do their best to make wishes come true!
Ok, now that we've got your hotel accommodations and tickets squared away, let's put a few more notes on your to-do list. Each Guest will need
theme park reservations in addition to those tickets. Reservations hold your spot in a particular park on a particular day. If everyone's tickets are linked to your account, you will be able to make reservations with just a few taps in the Disneyland Mobile App. When you are in the app, head to the "+" in the bottom navigation bar, select "Make a Park Reservation", and follow the prompts from there. Reservations are subject to availability, so you'll want to book those sooner rather than later. They can always be canceled and rescheduled if needed.
Joanne, we are almost at the end of our journey together. I always like to remind Guests that
dining reservations and Enchanting Extras, like the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, can be made 60 days ahead of time. If you are hoping to catch some shows and nighttime spectaculars, the
Entertainment Schedule is released usually about six weeks ahead.
If you have any more questions, we are always here for you at planDisney.
Wishing you magic,
Tara
