Welcome back to planDisney! Are you ready to hit the slopes at
Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park? Earlier this summer, I had a chance to visit both Blizzard Beach and
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park with my oldest son. These two parks are certainly
SPLASH-tacular additions to any visit to Walt Disney World Resort!
Sara, the
Lodge Umbrellas can be a great upgrade to your day at the water park. Included with your reservation is one umbrella, two lounge chairs, two sand chairs, and four towels, with a seating capacity of four Guests. I spoke with a Cast Member who confirmed that a three-year-old would count towards that number and that you would need to reserve two umbrellas as a party of five.
If you're looking for a larger space, you can check availability for a
Polar Patio, which accommodates up to ten Guests. In addition to comfortable seating for six, the standard Polar Patios also include towels, a locker, ice water, and select sodas.
Premium Plus options may also be available and include the same features as the standard patios, plus a mini refrigerator, oscillating fan, cell phone chargers, and a roof for additional shade.
While both the umbrellas and patios offer a convenient place to call "home" during your day, some shade from the Florida sunshine, and additional amenities, you'll also find complimentary sand and lounge chairs throughout the park for Guests to use. These chairs are available on a first-come, first-served basis, but we've been able to find seating during each of our visits in recent years.
During your visit to Walt Disney World, don't forget that
Mobile Food and Beverage Ordering is available at select dining locations, including
Lottawatta Lodge at Blizzard Beach. We love using this feature, when available, to spend less time waiting in line and more time enjoying all the fun of our vacation!
