Hey Kathryn,
Welcome to planDisney! An adults-only Walt Disney World vacation is one of my favorite things to do! Please don't tell my kids. I am thrilled to help you plan what you and your husband might like to do while staying at Disney World. Let's get some plans together for you!
If you and your husband enjoy wine or cocktails, you might enjoy either partaking in an
EPCOT festival if there's one happening during your trip or heading to Coronado Springs for their
Sangria University course. During the EPCOT festivals, there are food booths located in each of the pavilions that offer food and beverages that reflect the countries represented by the pavilions. It's a great way to experience the flavors of the world while you're on your Disney World vacation! Sangria University will teach you all about the history of sangria while teaching you how to make it. There are other
Enchanting Extras available at Coronado Springs as well that might be of interest such as the
Colors of Coronado Painting Experience.
If these options aren't your vibe, you can also consider several other recreational activities across the resort. There's the Archery Experience at Fort Wilderness resort if you're feeling adventurous, for example. Fort Wilderness is home to so many
additional recreational experiences that it is known to be a vacation destination in and of itself - theme parks optional! There's horseback riding, horse-drawn carriage rides, kayaking, fishing and more.
If you'd like to stick to in-park experiences, check out the new lounges in Magic Kingdom and EPCOT.
The Beak and Barrel in Magic Kingdom offers a pirate-themed immersive experience that you'll have to see to believe. The entire lounge activates with fun moments that make you feel as if you're about to walk the plank. EPCOT's
GEO-82 is an iconic new space where you can take a break from your park day and enjoy light bites, cool cocktails and a nostalgically futuristic atmosphere. It's very EPCOT.
In addition to these experiences, give some thought to taking an afternoon to do some fun shopping in Disney Springs (there is also a ton of great dining available there!) and perhaps booking a spa service at
The Grand Floridian Spa at the Grand Floridian.
Kathryn, there are so many things to do on an adults-only trip to Disney World! I'm a little jealous of all the options you'll have available to you on this visit.
Let me know if there's anything else I can help you with as you plan. I hope you have an amazing time! See ya real soon.
