Is an adult storm trooper costume acceptable for the mickeys not so scary? I know he wont be able to wear his helmet but was just curious about the rest of the costume.

Hello Allie! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

One of my favorite elements of experiencing Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party with my family was our themed costumes. My wife dressed as Lilo to my daughter's "Princess" Stitch and I dressed is an outfit that resembled (not the full equipment) a stormtrooper to my 4-year old's Kylo Ren.

While the Theme Park Dress and Costume Guidelines at Walt Disney World Resort restrict Adults wearing costumes on regular days, Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party makes an exception for kids of all ages to get into the Halloween spirit. The stormtrooper costume should be fine and you are correct that the helmet could not be worn. When I went as a "stormtrooper", I wore a baseball hat that resembled the top of the stormtrooper helmet.

The focus for Cast Members and Security is to be able to differentiate between Cast Members and Guests and Theme Park safety and security. Since stormtroopers usually spend their day at Disney's Hollywood Studios Theme Park, an adult costume without the helmet should be fine for the event.

Be advised that these decisions are always at the discretion of Security Personnel at the Main Gates of the Theme Parks, and to definitely leave the blaster at home.

    Have a Spook-tacular Visit!
