Hi Sharon! Welcome Back to planDisney!
I can count on one hand the number of days to your arrival where adventurous and picky eaters can both delight in Magical treats, meals, and drinks! I totally get the dilemma, I am a vegetable-loving try anything kind of gal married to the king of meat and potatoes. First thing first, make sure you have secured
Advanced Dining Reservations for must-have table serve meals.
As of late, our new favorite location is
Steakhouse 71 located at
Disney's Contemporary Resort. It is an easy walk or monorail ride from
Magic Kingdom Park. This leads me to my first pro-tip for small portion eaters. Why not split a full portion meal? My husband and I adore the
Steakhouse 71 Stack Burger and paired with an appetizer, this order is more than enough for us at one sitting. We always split full-sized portions so we can snack later on treats!
Secondly, look at the appetizer section of any menu for your meal. I find most Walt Disney World restaurants will have some basic or familiar option to please all palettes.
I should note, it is standard for ages nine and under to order from the "kids' menu." However, it never hurts to ask your server nicely for that option. You should be aware, in many cases, you are subject to adult pricing. The policy may be enforced differently at various locations.
Make sure to utilize
Mobile Ordering through your
My Disney Experience Mobile App while in the parks and resorts. You can always choose kids' meals for your order. It will minimize your wait time which gives you more playtime.
Bon appétit,
Cindy
