I will be the only adult on our next Disney vacation with my 5 year old and 3 year old daughter. Will the 3 of us be able to ride Slinky Dog Dash? We are all tall enough, but wondering if I need two people over 14 years old?

Hi Allison! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for your question! I think it is amazing that you will be taking a solo trip with your little girls. And how incredible that you will be exploring Toy Story Land together! My family and I love Slinky Dog Dash, especially the feeling of becoming a toy in Andy’s backyard! It is definitely a big hit among the youngest Disney fans, especially those who might be ready to tackle their first thrilling roller coaster ride!

For Slinky Dog Dash, the Safety, Accessibility and Guest Policies state that Children under age 7 years must be accompanied by a person age 14 years or older. In my experience on similar rides with my children, the expectation has been that children under age 7 must ride with an adult right next to them. Slinky Dog Dash has room for only two people in each row, so that would not be possible with your travel party.

If it were my trip with my two kiddos, I’d go ahead and tell them that we would not be experiencing this particular attraction during the trip, but that there is still so much to explore in Toy Story Land! You will definitely be able to ride Toy Story Mania together, as the cars can accommodate up to three people (though only two of you will be able to have a controller), as well as Alien Swirling Saucers

Part of our family’s Disney vacation tradition is always looking forward to the new things we will be able to experience as a family during future trips. Knowing they will be tall enough or “brave” enough to tackle that new attraction for the very first time, and the anticipation of that, is something that my boys always cherish.

Well Allison, I hope you and your two little girls have the most magical trip to Walt Disney World! If we can be of any more help in making this trip as magical as possible, please do not hesitate to come back and see us!
