Hello, Heather!
Welcome to planDisney! Thank you so much for bringing your important planning question to us. I am excited to hEAR that you will be joining the
World’s Most Magical Celebration in just a few weeks. There are so many experiences that have been created just for the festivities. My favorite nighttime entertainment is
Disney’s Enchantment, shown most nights in the Magic Kingdom. This fireworks spectacular combines magnificent pyrotechnics, projections of your favorite characters on Cinderella Castle that extend down the buildings of Main Street U.S.A. This extravaganza has a limited-time run only during the 50th Anniversary Celebration. You will want to make sure to add it to your must-do list.
Disney created the
Disability Access Service, also known as DAS, to allow Guests who cannot wait in a standard attraction queue. Guests who qualify for DAS will receive a return time that is comparable to the attraction’s current wait time. You can pre-register for DAS online with a Cast Member within 30 to 2 days of your park visit. Once approved, they will work with you to pre-select 2 experiences per day as a part of the
DAS Advanced Planning Option. Remember, everyone on your Family & Friends list must have their theme park admission and park pass reservations linked to their My Disney Experience accounts before starting the online process. I am happy to inform you that children under 3 do not require a valid theme park ticket or park pass reservation, so they will not be required to scan in to experience the DAS attraction. Children under 3 are Mickey Mouse’s Special Guest and are not counted in your DAS Guest limit.
You can still register for DAS when you arrive at the Walt Disney World Resort by visiting Guest Relations. But you will not be eligible for the DAS Advanced Planning selections. You can use the
My Disney Experience app to make a DAS selection once you have entered a theme park. You can only hold one same-day DAS selection at a time. These are in addition to any DAS Advanced selections made during the pre-registration process.
You can also use DAS in combination with
Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lane selections to enhance your park experience. DAS will not conflict with Genie+ selections or Individual Lightning Lane purchases. This will allow you to hold a DAS return time and book Genie+ selections to create the perfect itinerary for your visit to the parks. For additional assistance, feel free to reach out to the Disability Services Team at (407) 560-2547 or by email at disability.services@disneyparks.com.
See ya real soon,
Andrea
