Hi Anita! We all know that Walt Disney World is a child's dream come true vacation but it also is for the adults. You will suddenly feel younger and just as excited the minute you see your first Disney character and you will want to run up and give them a hug just as the little ones do.
But for those times when you want to get away and just relax you can easily find a lounge or bar in the deluxe and moderate resorts. Some are larger then others but they are a nice escape from the hubbub of the resorts.
Several of the top lounges include the one in the Grand Floridian where you can also enjoy the evening music of the orchestra or pianist. The most fun resort lounge is at the Polynesian and its the
Trader Sams Grog Grotto. When guests order a drink amazing things might happen in the bar from singing to sounds. It is a small room so get there early or be prepared to wait for a seat.
One of the best places to head to for night time entertainment is the
BoardWalk. This is adjacent to the Boardwalk resort and close to the Yacht and Beach Club resorts. My favorite spot is Jellyrolls where you will find the dueling pianos. There is also a lounge at the Flying Fish restaurant and the ESPN Club. In the evenings there is always street entertainment up and down the BoardWalk.
Disney Springs is the place to go for all kinds of entertainment and dining. No tickets are needed and it is a short bus ride from any of the Disney resorts. It is truly a magical place and you can enjoy just walking or stopping in at many of the lounges. Be sure and read all the variety of things you can see and do in this great location! Enjoy it all!
