If an adult is entering the park before the Oogie Boogie Bash event time will they need to bring their costume and find a place to change during the event time or are costumes allowed for adults the full event day?

A howling hello and welcome back to planDisney, Megan. Thanks for trusting us and creepy crawling back to ask another question. Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort will be here in less than two months and I'm on pins and needles counting down the days.

Congratulations on securing your tickets to the most spooktacular event, Oogie Boogie Bash - A Disney Halloween Party! I just know you're going to have a ghoulishly good time. You are more than welcome to wear your costume at the park well before the official start of the event as long as your costume adheres to all of the Costume Guidelines. In my experience, you don't see many others in costume until closer to the event mix-in time which is three hours before the official start time of the bash. That's right, you can enter Disney California Adventure Park up to three hours before the party officially starts at 6:00 p.m. My friends and I like to take advantage of this time to map out our plan of attack for treat trails and get all of our Mobile Food and Beverage Ordering lined up for the evening.

You may also want to keep in mind what the weather might be like for your event date. I have attended in early October and found that it was still quite warm and my fancy velour jacket that was part of my costume was not doing me any favors. With this in mind, if you have a heavier costume you may want to store it in a locker and make a quick change closer to the event start (if you're thinking about being in the park all day).

Once you've figured out what will work best for you with your costume, you can start making plans for all the things you'll want to experience during this frighteningly fantastic event. My friendly tip is to bring your own larger bag to carry all of your treats. You will be given a bag at check-in, however, if you plan on hitting all of the treat trails (maybe even more than once), you will definitely want a bigger bag. I also like to take a break during the evening and enjoy the Frightfully Fun Parade - the gravediggers are my favorite part.

Megan, I hope this has been helpful as you think through how you will be skeleton-dancing your way through the Oogie Boogie Bash. If you find yourself with more spine-tingling questions, please come back to ask us. We're simply dying to answer!
