Ahoy, Kristina! Welcome to planDisney, where we aim to answer all of your Disney Cruise Line questions to make sure that your vacation is smooth sailing from start to finish.
The
pools onboard the entire Disney fleet are great for soaking up the sun on the top deck, but they are not particularly deep. Even the
adult-exclusive pools have a maximum depth usually between 4-5 feet. Therefore, none of the pools onboard are suitable for diving or swimming laps. Since guests are expected to use the ladders to enter and exit the main pools for safety, there is also no jumping or doing cannonballs. As an adult, you probably won’t need any devices to assist you for these particular types of pools because the actual swimming is at a minimum and relaxing is the main priority.
However, if you would feel more comfortable bringing your inflatable swim belt onboard, it does not appear to be on the
prohibited items list. At this time, floats, rafts, and fun noodles cannot be brought onboard and are not permitted in the pools, but Coast Guard personal flotation devices (PFDs), water wings, and flotation sewn into bathing suits may be brought onboard. Just keep in mind that Disney Cruise Line always reserves the right to seize and secure any item deemed to be dangerous or that poses a security or safety risk, whether it is on the prohibited items list or not.
I hope you have the best time setting sail where magic meets the sea later this year. If you have any other questions, we are always ready and willing to help at planDisney. Happy sailing!
