    any adult only disney cruises?

    Ahoy, Joanne!

Welcome back to planDisney!  I see my panelist pal, Susan, recently shared some insights on how you can use your Disney Vacation Club points to book a Disney Cruise Line vacation.  I'm happy to help share a bit more about cruise options so you can find a sailing that is practically perfect in every way!

Joanne, Disney Cruise Line does not offer adult-only cruises, but you'll find several adult-only spaces to enjoy on each ship and at each Disney island destination.  Just as Disney Cruise Line has thoughtfully designed areas of the ship for the littlest sailors to enjoy, there is plenty of fun for grown-up Mouseketeers as well! On each ship, you'll find adults-only pool areas, lounges, restaurants, beverage seminars, and even a spa. I've sailed on the Disney Dream twice without my children and have found no shortage of activities to keep me entertained throughout the cruise.

Since each ship in the fleet has its own unique theming in these spaces, I'd encourage you to spend some time learning more about your options.  For example, the Disney Treasure embodies the spirit of adventure, and you'll find lounges and nightclubs celebrating beloved Disney Parks attractions that do the same, such as the Haunted Mansion, Jungle Cruise, and 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.  If you're interested in honoring the many heroes and villains from your favorite Disney films, you may want to check out the Disney Destiny, which offers lounge spaces inspired by Cruella De Vil, Doctor Strange, and others!

While the lounges are great, a must-do for me on every Disney Cruise Line vacation is dining at Palo or another of the adult-exclusive restaurants.  These restaurants do come at an additional cost, but the level of service and quality of the food can't be beat.  When my husband and I sailed without our kids, we ate at Palo on several occasions because our experience was so enjoyable!

If your sailing includes stops at Disney Castaway Cay or Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, you'll be able to find exclusive areas on each island reserved just for those Guests 18 years of age and older.  This stretch of beach is full of peace and tranquility as you spend the day relaxing in the Bahamian sunshine!  When you're hungry, you'll also find dedicated dining by Serenity Bay, making this the perfect adults-only oasis.

I hope this information has been helpful, Joanne, as you decide which Disney Cruise Line vacation is right for you!  If you have any other questions, please stop by to see us again here at planDisney!

    SEA ya real soon!
