My adult daughter and I are bringing her 12yr old son (with autism & physical limitations) and her 2yr old down for Christmas. We only have one day with a park hopper option. He loves Star Wars, Cars, Toy Story, and she's all things princess! Help!

    Hi, there!

Welcome to planDisney, Elissa. I'm so glad you stopped by! I know planning a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort can feel overwhelming. Let's chat about how you can plan the "best day ever" for your daughter and precious grandkids!

Your Park Hopper Option will allow you to visit more than one theme park in a single day, which is super awesome. My oldest and youngest kiddos sound like your grandchildren with their very different Disney interests! To best combine your grandkids' unique interests, I recommend spending your day between Magic Kingdom Park and Disney's Hollywood Studios.

Magic Kingdom Park is a must-do for any Disney Princess fan. Plan on heading straight to Fantasyland. There your little princess can board a clamshell on Under the Sea ~ Journey of The Little Mermaid, meet with beloved royalty at Princess Fairytale Hall, and ride atop an ornate horse on Prince Charming Regal Carrousel. Before you leave Magic Kingdom Park, be sure to catch Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade. Your little princess will just love seeing her royal pals pass by!

At Disney's Hollywood Studios, your grandson can live out his Star Wars, Toy Story, and Cars dreams. Plan on spending lots of time on galactic adventures in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge and playing in Andy's backyard in Toy Story Land. Don't forget to make time to speed on over to Sunset Boulevard for Lightning McQueen's Racing Academy.

To accommodate your grandson's special needs, I encourage you to get him registered for Disability Access Service. DAS is designed for Guests who have difficulty tolerating extended wait times in conventional queue environments. Rather than waiting in line for an attraction or experience, you can obtain a return time, making it easier to navigate the theme parks with your grandson's special needs! Eligible Guests can now pre-register for DAS via live video chat with a Cast Member. Talk about convenience!

I hope this was helpful, Elissa. Please let us know if you have any more questions about your visit to the Walt Disney World Resort! We'd love to help you plan a magical day.
