Hi Moms! We have ADRs @ Chef Mickeys @8:20 on Sat. May 8, but will be touring Hollywood studios that day. We are staying offsite, so I am wondering the best way to get from one to another. We will have our car, but could also use hotel provided transport

    Karen:

Use your car!  There's nothing like the convenience of driving to The Contemporary for breakfast at Chef Mickey's and then hoping right back in your car to head over to Disney's Hollywood Studios.

Disney's policy is that you should only park at a resort while you're dining (although I don't know how they regulate how long you stay, as the last time we drove to The Contemporary for California Grill, all we did was give our names to the security guard).  Even if you circumvent their policy and parked your car, you'd have to take a bus to Disney's Hollywood Studios and then back--not worth it to me. When I stayed at the hotel in November it took well over 45 minutes to get to the Studios by bus.

Trust me, pay the parking toll at Disney's Studios and park in their convenient lot (the closest one of all the parks to its gate).

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
