ADR Wave Apr 6, 7:30am, non-EMH. Staying Pop Century or POFQ. What is easiest trans to early breakfast from either, then how to enter MK after? Help deciding on hotel-1st time to Dis,want fun exp for 2 kids (8,6), comfort for all. Other advice value-mod?

To get to the Contemporary, take a bus to the Magic Kingdom (MK) and then walk over to the hotel. Even though it's a non-Extra Magic Hour morning at the MK, buses will be running early in order to transport guests with early morning Advance Dining Reservations.

The easiest transportation would be a taxi.

After breakfast, walk over to the MK or take the monorail which will first go to the TTC, Polynesian Resort, Grand Floridian and then stop at the MK.

The moderate room at Port Orleans French Quarter will definitely be more comfortable than the accommodations at Pop Century. The pool will have a slide, the resort is charming and the Sassagoula Riverboat transportation to Downtown Disney is convenient and fun.

Pop Century offers value prices but small, motel-like rooms. The resort is large and transportation to all destinations is via bus. The pools are themed but do not have slides.

When I have a choice, I always choose a moderate over a budget resort. However, sometimes I have to stay at value resorts to take advantage of the lower rates. I stayed at Port Orleans Riverside and Pop Century in early January.

The moderate resorts are a great value for the price! I have stayed at all of the moderate resorts and enjoy the themed decor. Port Orleans French Quarter was my favorite when our son was younger. He's 11 now and thinks the best pool slide is at Coronado Springs. I just asked my son to rate the moderates from a kid perspective and he listed them in this order:
    1. Caribbean Beach
    2. Coronado Springs
    3. Port Orleans Riverside
    4. Port Orleans French Quarter

However, I can tell you that he had magical vacation during stays at All-Star Movies and Pop Century too.

If you can, pick POFQ. If it doesn't fit in your budget, just know that your kids will have a magical time no matter where you rest your head at night!
