Hi! Have ADR for Teppan Edo for 7:30 dinner for our september '13 visit. Will my group have access to the upper deck to view illuminations after dinner (I tried to time our reservations for the fireworks). Is Tokyo dining better? Traveling w/ 2 toddlers

Hi Kristina!  You ask a great question about Illuminations: Reflections of Earth viewing inside the Japan Pavilion at Epcot Theme Park.

Here are some things you should know.   Tokyo Dining will potentially offer you a good view of the fireworks, but the cuisine is primarily sushi and some tempura dishes.  On the other hand, Teppan Edo is a teppanyaki style restaurant where a chef "performs" as he or she prepares your grilled Japanese food. Teppan Edo offers no view of World Showcase Lagoon.  What is more important to you, potential fireworks viewing or cuisine?  Tokyo Dining offer tables next to large full length windows, but those can not be guaranteed.

The upper deck you speak of is actually open to the public and outside, along the windows of Tokyo Dining.  Whichever restaurant you choose, you are free to go out on that walkway to stand and view Illuminations!

I hope this helps, and I wish you a truly MAGICAL vacation!
