Have ADR at 50s Prime Time and Whispering Canyon Cafe. 6 & 3 year old love goofy behaviour but do not like attention drawn to themselves. Will they be upset by the servers antics (ex. elbows on tables, not eating all the food, asking for ketchup)? Than

    Hi Chuck,

50s Prime Time Cafe and Whispering Canyon Cafe are two of my boy's favorite restaurants!  They don't really like to be the center of attention either.

At 50s Prime Time, the server, really only interacts with your family.  When she "reprimands" you for having elbows on the table, it's not as though she's going to make a general announcement to everyone - at least, not in my experience.  To make your kids feel more comfortable, I suggest "taking one for the team" - get those elbows up, don't finish all of your vegetables, etc.  Also, I think the servers know that watching mom and dad be spoon or get chided for their manners is a riot for the whole family.

At Whispering Canyon, just don't be the first to ask for ketchup!  Wait a little while -- again, once your children see that everyone is doing it, I think they'll willingly jump right in and play along.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
