Greetings Ann! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'd be happy to assist you!
Good for you planning those Advanced Dining Reservations prior to your vacation. For my family, meals are an important part of our Walt Disney World vacations, and we always enjoy making our restaurant selections in advance. We often travel with extended family who aren't always able to confirm plans as far ahead as we are, so I understand your concern. Ann, for Advanced Dining Reservations at restaurants that do not require prepayment, you are able to
cancel your reservation a day in advance without incurring any fee. As long as some of your party appears for your reservation, you are not required to cancel, nor will you be charged a no-show fee.
My friend and fellow panelist,
Andrea, explains how she has successfully adjusted her reservation numbers, even at the last minute by modifying a reservation, or by speaking with a Cast Member at the restaurant prior to dining. To change the number of guests in your party before the reservation, select "My Plans" on
My Disney Experience and scroll down until you see the dining experience you would like to modify. Then click "Modify" and alter the number of guests to accurately reflect your party. While you won't be charged a fee for some members of your group not showing up, as a courtesy to other guests wishing to dine in your place, it's always best to do what you can to modify your reservation in advance.
I hope that helps ease your mind as you continue to plan all of the delicious meals you will be enjoying at Walt Disney World. I wish you the best as your planning continues. Have some Mickey waffles for me!
